AmbosMundos

AmbosMundos is an instrumental quartet (accordion, violin, acoustic guitar, percussions) born in 2019 and directed by Matteo Castellan that proposes, in a playlist made of original pieces and pieces by great authors (Astor Piazzolla, Richard Galliano, Enrico Rava among others), a peculiar synthesis between World music and Jazz language: an evocative journey through the sounds of the world unfolds between the echoes of Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain and Balkan suggestions.

The quartet, which debuted in Turin at the beginning of 2020, has already obtained important recognitions, having been selected for the "Evergreen Festival" 2020 in Turin and the 2020 edition of "Paese a Sei Corde Festival" on the shores of Lago Maggiore (see press for events review).

Each of the members of the quartet has its own important musical history: Matteo Castellan has a long career as a performer and composer full of prizes and illustrious collaborations in music and theater: Orchestra da Tre Soldi that he founded in 2003, Giorgio Li Calzi, Giampaolo Casati, Lalli, Guido Catalano, Matthias Martelli;
Enrico Degani is a rising star of Italian jazz guitar and not only, having already played with jazz greats like Louis Sclavis and Antony Braxton;
Giulia Subba has reached the maximum degree of instrumental improvement with Yulia Berinskaya; she plays all over the world with large Orchestras like Orchestra Scarlatti and Philarmonic Italian Orchestra;
Adriano De Micco has worked with a giant like Pino Daniele and played with Ezio Bosso e Gustavo Beytelmann by Gotan Project, and with Adama Drame' (Burkina Faso).
